You’ll have to excuse the amount of times you see my hand in this one – the phone I was using to record was damaged and kept turning itself off randomly, leaving me almost having a nervous breakdown and becoming very sloppy in my framing.

A Surprisingly Funny Comedy with a Heart

I’ve started to watch a lot of Pakistani movies and TV shows because I’m trying to learn the Urdu language. I’ve got a basic grasp of it but when I say basic I mean everyone-laughing-at-you-when-you-open-your-mouth kinda basic. So what better way to strengthen my level of Urdu than to combine it with one of my favourite pass-times? Movies.

Ash vs Evil Dead – Season 1 Review

I’m enjoying this TV series quite a bit and am looking forward to season 2. It’s been quite a bumpy ride, with the series starting off well and then trailing off before ending with a bang with the final episode.

I suppose as a fan of the original movies getting a TV series with Bruce Campbell reprising his role as Ash, Sam Raimi involved, and being a direct continuation of the original film series is in itself an incredible achievement, so any complaints I have (and trust me, I have them) are minor compared to my appreciation of the show.

Plot: Rupert Pupkin is obsessed with becoming a comedy great. However, when he confronts his idol, talk show host Jerry Langford, with a plea to perform on the Jerry’s show, he is only given the run-around. He does not give up, however, but persists in stalking Jerry until he gets what he wants. Eventually he must team up with his psychotic Langford-obsessed friend Masha to kidnap the talk show host in hopes of finally getting to perform his stand-up routine.
